Cruises are my absolute favorite relaxation vacation. If I’m going on a vacation to be in the sun, not think about anything, and have everything planned for me-I pick a cruise every time. You are paying for them to constantly remind you that you are on vacation and to have fun. You can do everything or nothing and you still get where you are going, and back home. It’s great.
Things I love about cruises:
- You can find cruises cheaper than what you would pay for JUST a hotel.
- Food is included (with a lobster and steak captains dinner, a 24hr restaurant, and always all you can eat…luckily they have gyms too).
- Everyone there is on vacation, and they constantly remind you to have fun because thats why you are there.
- They plan fun for you. Music, scavenger hunts, parties, casinos, clubs, cigar lounges, spas, some even have putt-putt and tube slides. And can we talk about the adults only bar and hot tubs…wonderful.
- Everything is on the boat, meaning-when your friends get sloppy drunk you don’t have to worry about how anyone is getting home. As a good friend of mine learned, even if you pass out on the upper deck in a beach chair by yourself, they just let you sleep it off.
- Cruises let you sample places you may want to go next time for a whole trip! In theory some destinations sound amazing, when in reality, you may prefer something totally different. With a cruise, you get to sample several destinations in one trip!
- There are ways around the “alcohol will cost you your first born” myth!
Now that you are sold on the idea of a cruise, check out my posts on how to do it from my experience!
